Baneocin is a combined antibacterial medicine which is intended for external use. It kills sensitive bacteria by stopping the production of essential proteins needed by the bacteria to survive.

Baneocin is used for treating:

  • Local infections of the skin: furuncle, carbuncle, staphylococcic sycosis, deep folliculitis, spiradenitis, paronychia.
  • Bacterial infections of skin with limited diffusion: impetigo contagiosa, infected sores of lower extremities, repeatedly infected eczema, repeated infection during dermatosis, cuts, bruises and burns, in cosmetic surgery and during skin transplantation.

Perineal tear in the postnatal period, surgical procedures(abdominal incision), episiotomy, mastitis in drainage.

Baneocin can also be intended for prophylaxis of infection after surgery.

Baneocin should not to be used for ophthalmic purposes.

Contraindications and Cautions:
  • Baneocin should not be used if a patient has increased sensitivity to the components of the preparation.
