Diflazon
Product Ingridients:

Therapeutic actions:

Diflazon contains the active ingredient Fluconazole that belongs to a group of medications called antimycotic or antifungal. Due to inhibiting enzyme 14α- dimethylase Fluconasole disturbs the production of ergosterol that is essential component of the fungi cell, resulting in changing permeability. As a result the fungi cells become unstable and then die.

Indications:

Diflazon is indicated to treat the following conditions caused by fungi:

  • Skin infections caused by fungi such as athlete's foot (tinea pedis), ringworm (tinea corporis), jock itch (tinea cruris), pityriasis versicolor,
  • Candida skin infections.
  • Candida infections of the linings of the mouth (oral thrush), urinary tract, throat, lungs, bloodstream, heart, or other widespread infections of the internals.
  • Vaginal thrush(vaginits) caused by Candida albicans
  • Inflammation of the male genitals and/or foreskin (candidal balanitis) caused Candida albicans.
  • Fungal infections caused by Cryptococcus fungi (cryptococcosis), including cryptococcal meningitis and infections affecting the lungs or skin.
  • Preventing fungal infections caused by fungi in patients with a weakened immunity and low white blood cell counts due to chemotherapy, radiotherapy or bone marrow transplants.
  • Prophylaxis of a disease caused by Cryptococcus fungi, eg cryptococcal meningitis, in patients with AIDS.
Contraindications and Cautions:

Diflazon should not be taken in allergy or hypersensitivity to Fluconazole or other anti fungal azole preparations, eg clotrimazole, ketoconazole, itraconazole and other. Interactions:

It is important to tell your doctor or pharmacist what medicines you are already taking, including those bought without a prescription and herbal medicines, before you start treatment with Diflazon. Similarly, check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking any new medication while taking this one, to ensure that the combination is safe.
